What music means to me

Music is a part of my life. It became my passion since I started to learn it. It is my affection or perhaps my addiction because I cannot life without music; I always listen to, or play music or sing. Even without my instrument, a music score or an MP3 player in my hands, I am still thinking or practicing musicality in my mind such as clapping my hands and legs or singing the melodies that pop up in my head.

Music is also my pride. Normally, people can play some easy pieces on their instrument but they did not have a chance to perform for the public. As a music student I have to study difficult pieces and also have opportunities to perform in concerts. I am always very pleased when I played something on my flute and somebody listened to it and made some comment for me; it really made me feel more valuable and made me feel I was improving myself as a musician.

I rather surprise myself; at the very beginning, I never thought I could learn something abstract such as music. I wanted to study law when I was 15 years old, after I practicing the flute, I suddenly changed my mind. Now I come a cross the sea and pursuing the Bachelor degree in flute major performance. I love in what I do and happy to keep leaning it.
